Prof. Dr. Grimm transfers to the Technical University of Nuremberg
Veronika Grimm will assume the Professorship of Energy Systems and Market Design at the University of Technology Nuremberg (UTN) on March 1, 2024. “This step opens up the fascinating opportunity to help shape the development of a new university and thus further strengthen the scientific landscape in the Nuremberg metropolitan region, which has become my second home over the past 16 years,” explains Prof. Grimm.
At the UTN, Grimm and her team will develop research and teaching on the topics of energy systems and market design in a consistently interdisciplinary environment. The new university’s focus on artificial intelligence and data analytics should make it possible to focus in particular on the interaction between energy and artificial intelligence in the design of energy markets.
Despite the transfer, Prof. Grimm will continue to offer most of the courses previously offered by the Chair of Economic Theory at WISO in the summer term. An overview of these courses with all relevant information can be found on our website under “Teaching” (here). It is important to us to help shape the transition in the interests of the students. If you have any questions, please contact the staff of the chair.
“I look back with great gratitude on the many years at FAU and the collaboration with the colleagues with whom I have been able to work over the past few years,” emphasizes Veronika Grimm. “In my new role, I look forward to continuing the collaborations. Together, we can strengthen science in the region and achieve even more.”
